On June 18, 2018 the PS 19 Asher Levy Community Playground opened. The PS 19 Asher Levy School Community Playground was designed by students, staff, parents, and community members through the Trust for Public Land's NYC Playground Program. 

After learning about a famous inventor, students planed, gathered supplies, built and tested their inventor’s important creation. 

Students explored a variety of art techniques in this after school residency taught by two Studio in a School artists.
